INEC has released the timetable for the 2027 General Elections. Party primaries will run from April 23 to May 30, 2026, while Presidential and National Assembly elections will hold on January 16, 2027. Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections are scheduled for February 6, 2027.
Campaigns for national elections begin August 19, 2026, and September 9, 2026, for governorship elections.
