The Lagos State Government has appealed to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for additional slots and improved welfare arrangements for pilgrims ahead of the 2027 Holy Pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. The Federal Government has reportedly approved the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to take over the admission process for Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes across Nigeria. The development is expected to bring HND admissions under JAMB’s centralised admission system, with the aim of streamlining and standardising admission processes into polytechnics nationwide.
