The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has revealed that its LASHMA-AID programme attended to 132 emergency cases and saved 110 lives within its first six months of operation.

The engagement brought together key stakeholders in Lagos’ health sector to review the programme’s performance, emergency response efforts, challenges and lessons recorded during its first six months.
Dr. Zamba disclosed that 23 of the cases involved ILERA EKO enrollees, three involved EKOSHA enrollees, while 106 cases involved vulnerable residents whose medical bills were fully covered by LASHMA.
She also revealed that 76 ambulance transports were carried out by LASAMBUS and private ambulance operators, with Ikeja, Badagry, Ogba and Lagos Island recording the highest number of emergency cases.
The stakeholders’ engagement featured goodwill messages from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Dayo Olajide, and Country Director, Mrs. Ndili Njide, alongside a presentation by Dr. Favour Oluwaniyi on the programme’s first six months of operations.
Dr. Zamba urged Lagos residents to promptly call 080-000-LASHMA-AID (080-000-52862-243) whenever medical emergencies occur.
