The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, has congratulated the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 corps members on completing their one-year national service, urging them to use the skills acquired during service to become entrepreneurs and employers of labour.
In a farewell message shared on the NYSC’s official Facebook page on Thursday, July 9, Nafiu praised the outgoing corps members for their patriotism, dedication and valuable contributions to national development. He said their service at their Places of Primary Assignment positively impacted host communities and reflected the core ideals of the NYSC Scheme.
The NYSC boss encouraged them to remain worthy ambassadors of the scheme by upholding the values of discipline, integrity, selfless service and national unity wherever they go. He also urged them to apply the knowledge gained through the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to build successful businesses, create jobs and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s growth.
Reaffirming the importance of unity and collective responsibility in nation-building, Nafiu called on the corps members to remain committed to the vision of one Nigeria and wished them success in their future endeavours as they begin a new chapter after national service.
