The Headies has unveiled the nomination list for the 18th edition of its music awards, setting the stage for another celebration of outstanding achievements in the Nigerian and African music industry.
The 2026 nominations feature artistes and music professionals competing across several categories, including Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Recording of the Year, Afrobeats Single of the Year, Best Male and Female Artiste, and Next Rated, among others.
The latest edition is expected to celebrate both established acts and emerging talents who made significant contributions to the music scene during the eligibility period.
The awards ceremony, themed “Africa to the World,” is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada, in October 2026.
The Headies remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent music award platforms, recognising excellence across different aspects of the African music industry.
