The organisers of The Headies Awards have postponed the 18th edition of the music awards, moving the ceremony from October 23, 2026, to April 10 and 11, 2027.
The announcement was made by the organizers, explaining that the change would allow them to expand the programme of activities across Nigeria and Canada ahead of the main ceremony.
According to the organisers, activities under the “Road to The Headies” initiative will continue during the period originally scheduled for the event. These activities are expected to include workshops, seminars and other engagements involving artistes and music industry stakeholders.
They assured fans and other stakeholders that further details about the revised programme and guest arrangements would be communicated through their official channels.
