The Federal Government has intensified Ebola screening at entry points into the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and strengthened surveillance across health facilities to ensure early detection and containment of suspected cases.
Speaking during a ministerial press briefing, authorities disclosed that genetic findings indicate the viruses involved are related. However, further investigations are ongoing to determine whether the cases are directly linked epidemiologically.
The government emphasised the importance of early detection, increased vigilance in health facilities and public cooperation in preventing further transmission.
Members of the public have been urged to remain calm, rely on verified health advisories and promptly report any suspected symptoms or possible exposure to the virus.
