The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA) was established under the Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority Law, 2022 with the sole responsibility to ensure that all real estate activities and transactions are conducted adequately and in accordance with the Law and other regulations made by it.
The Authority was
created to promote transparency, accountability, professionalism and ethical conduct in real estate transactions, while also protecting residents and investors from fraudulent practices.
As the Regulatory body for Real Estate activities in Lagos State, LASRERA is responsible for overseeing the operations of real estate agents developers and other stakeholders within the sector.
LASRERA plays a critical role in addressing the persistent challenges of investors funds, fraudulent property sales, sharp practices by unregistered agents, and disputes arising from unprofessional conduct in the sector.
Through stakeholders engagement, public enlightenment campaigns, routine inspections, enforcement actions and dispute resolutions mechanisms, the Authority continues to strengthen regulations and improve public trust in the real estate dealings across the State.
The Authority also serves as a platform for providing investors, members of the public with guidance, complaint resolution support and registration channels before they engage in property transactions.
LASRERA encourages the registration of estate agents and developers as well as enforces compliance with established Agencies. LASRERA is charged with building a more organized, credible and investor-friendly real estate environment in Lagos State.
In line with the vision of the Lagos State Government to make Lagos a safer and more livable Smart city, LASRERA remains committed to deepening awareness, expanding access to its services through its satellite offices located at Agege, Ojodu, Surulere, Ikorodu LASRERA is opening more satellite offices at Amuwo-odofin, Ojo, Lekki and Mushin
to bring its regulatory services closer to the public
