Financial Solutions Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Ltd, formerly known as the Office of the Chief of Staff Cooperative, celebrated its 30th anniversary at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, with a gathering of senior Lagos State government officials, cooperative leaders, founding members, and stakeholders.
The event featured representatives from the Office of the Head of Service, Office of the Chief of Staff, Ministry of Commerce, Cooperative, Trade and Investment, Local Government Service Commission, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture and Food System, and Ministry of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. Officials from the Cooperative Services Department and other cooperative administrators were also present.
The celebration honoured the society’s pioneer founders, with the late principal founder represented by his son, Mr. Toyin Ibrahim Suenu. Past executive members, officials of the Lagos State Cooperative Federation (LASCOFED), representatives of Sabi Microfinance Bank, cooperators, and guests from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) also attended.
In his address, the President of the Society, Mr. Jamiu Abiola Abatan, reaffirmed the cooperative’s commitment to improving members’ welfare, embracing digital innovation, and expanding its grassroots financial services as it looks ahead to the next three decades.
Established 30 years ago, Financial Solutions Multi-purpose Cooperative Society Ltd remains focused on promoting mutual support, protecting members from exploitation, and providing affordable financial and business solutions.
