The newly elected Executive Council of the National Association of Students of English and Literary Studies (NASELS) has expressed profound appreciation to all NASELSITES for their trust, confidence, and overwhelming support throughout the recently concluded electoral process.
In a statement issued by the President-Elect, Salako Damilare Adesiyan, popularly known as Daskid, the council described the victory as a collective achievement for every member of the association.
“We are sincerely honoured by the mandate given to us to serve. Your votes, encouragement, prayers, and unwavering belief in our vision made this victory possible. We do not take this responsibility lightly,” the statement read.
The incoming executive council noted that the election marks the beginning of a new chapter for NASELS—one founded on unity, accountability, transparency, academic excellence, innovation, and purposeful leadership.
The council further pledged to serve members with integrity, diligence, and openness, while prioritising students’ welfare, academic growth, social development, and active participation within the association.
The President-Elect also called on all NASELSITES to continue supporting the new administration through prayers, cooperation, constructive criticism, and active engagement.
“With the collective support of every member, we are confident that NASELS will achieve greater milestones and become stronger, more united, and more progressive,” the statement added
The newly elected executive council reaffirmed its commitment to building an inclusive association where every NASELSITE has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
