The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has opened applications for the third phase of the Lagos State Employability Support Project (LSESP).
The initiative is designed to equip Lagos residents with practical, industry-relevant skills, improve employability, and strengthen Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It targets young Lagosians aged 18 to 45 and MSME owners, offering free capacity-building programmes aimed at boosting economic participation and creating sustainable livelihoods.
Building on the success of previous phases, the programme will provide training in four key areas: Digital Skills, Leather Works, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), and MSME Capacity Building. LSETF said the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to promote entrepreneurship, improve workforce readiness, and drive inclusive economic growth across the state.
Interested applicants must possess a valid Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) ID, while graduates are also required to provide their National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate where applicable.
Applications are currently open and will close on Friday, July 31, 2026. The Lagos State Government encouraged eligible residents to apply and take advantage of the free skills development and business support opportunities.
The LSESP aligns with the state government’s commitment to reducing unemployment, improving workforce competitiveness, supporting MSMEs, and expanding economic opportunities through strategic partnerships. Established by the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund Law of 2016, LSETF continues to provide financial support, promote job creation, encourage entrepreneurship, and enhance the employability of Lagos residents through innovative programmes and skills development initiatives.
