Randle General Hospital, Surulere, has strengthened its institutional capacity and workforce development through an Agile Business Transformation (ABT) training organised in collaboration with Howes Consulting Group.
The training, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at The Zone Hub, Gbagada-Oworonshoki Expressway, brought together members of the Hospital Management Committee and key administrative staff as part of efforts to build a resilient, innovative and high-performing workforce capable of responding to the changing demands of healthcare delivery.
Speaking at the programme, the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of Randle General Hospital, Dr. Lateefat Omolara Agbaje, described the initiative as a deliberate investment in the hospital’s workforce, stressing that continuous learning and professional development are essential to achieving excellence in healthcare service delivery.
Dr. Agbaje noted that the rapidly evolving healthcare sector requires professionals with the knowledge, skills and leadership capacity to address emerging challenges, improve patient outcomes and provide compassionate, patient-centred care.
She explained that the partnership with Howes Consulting Group reflects the hospital’s commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, collaboration and operational excellence, adding that the ABT programme marks the beginning of a sustained institutional transformation focused on efficiency, accountability and improved service delivery.
As part of efforts to sustain the gains of the training, the hospital and Howes Consulting Group also launched the GH Randle Agile Business Transformation (ABT) Learning Platform, a dedicated Knowledge Sharing System designed to promote continuous learning, collaboration and professional development among staff.
The digital platform provides hospital personnel with round-the-clock access to learning resources, project updates, leadership materials, online surveys and other knowledge-management tools, while also connecting staff with consultants from Howes Consulting Group.
Participants described the training as timely, impactful and thought-provoking, saying it enhanced their understanding of empathy, patient satisfaction and compassionate healthcare delivery. They also commended the trainer, Prof. Baale, for his engaging and practical presentation, particularly his ability to relate the topics to everyday healthcare practice.
Key areas covered during the training included Emotional Intelligence in Healthcare and its Components, Self-Awareness and Emotional Regulation, Empathy and Compassionate Care, Effective Communication in Healthcare, Emotional Intelligence and Litigation Prevention, Clinical Governance, and Tenets and Ethics.
The initiative further reinforces Randle General Hospital’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, improving workforce productivity and delivering efficient, patient-centred healthcare services in line with global best practices.
