The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has entered the final week of preparations for the Fourth Lagos State Food Safety Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, with stakeholders urged to register and participate.
LASCOPA General Manager/CEO, Afolabi Solebo, Esq., called on policymakers, researchers, academics, food safety experts, regulators, market associations, innovators, students, industry players and members of the public to join the event, which will focus on practical solutions to food safety challenges.
The conference, which has previously featured themes including “Food Safety – What the Consumers Need to Know,” “Safe Food, Better Health,” and “Food Safety: Science in Action,” will hold this year under the theme “From Burden to Solutions – Safe Food Everywhere.”
The event will take place at NECA House, Plot A2, Hakeem Balogun Street, CBD, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
According to LASCOPA, the conference will bring together key players across the food safety ecosystem to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations and develop sustainable solutions that strengthen food safety systems, protect consumers and support sustainable development.
