The price of petrol has risen to as much as ₦1,430 per litre at filling stations in Abuja, as a result of fresh increase in the cost of PMS.
The latest price increase has been linked to an ₦85 per litre rise in the price of petrol from the Dangote Refinery, which has affected the prices charged by fuel marketers.
The increase is expected to further raise transportation and operating costs for motorists and businesses, with possible effects on the prices of goods and services.
The increase has not been uniform across the country yet, as petrol prices continue to fluctuate.
