The Lagos State Government has announced the second edition of the Lagos MSME Exclusive and Eko Round City Trade Fair, scheduled to hold from December 14 to 20, 2026, at the National Stadium, Lagos, with 500 small businesses expected to participate.
The seven-day event, organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment (MCCTI), will combine a trade exhibition with a musical jamboree featuring prominent artistes throughout the festival. A funfair centre for children will also be available.
The initiative builds on the maiden edition held from December 8 to 14, 2025, and is designed to promote grassroots entrepreneurship, inclusive economic growth and the exhibition of locally made goods and services to local and international markets. It also aligns with the Lagos State Government’s T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda.
Speaking at a meeting convened on behalf of the Commissioner for Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment, Hon. Folashade Ambrose-Medebem, the Director of Commerce, Mr. Segun Alogba, said the programme was part of the state’s broader strategy to connect micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with buyers, markets and investors.

Alogba commended the government’s efforts in organising the inaugural edition, describing the initiative as a step towards greater economic development. He added that measures had been refined to ensure broader participation across different sectors and improve the success of the 2026 edition.
The Secretary for Surulere Fiesta and member of the project’s Coordinating Committee, Hon. Ibrahim Alli-Balogun, explained that the event would bring together exhibitors from 13 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LGAs/LCDAs) to display their products at the National Stadium, alongside the musical performances.
The Chairman of the Trade Fair Eko Round City Season 2, Mr. Omotayo Ogunlade, said the coordinating teams from MCCTI and the LGAs/LCDAs would work together to ensure effective planning and management.
He noted that the event’s logistics and trade-clustering strategy would attract market leaders, local government chairmen, industry captains and entrepreneurs in manufacturing, food production and energy production.
According to Ogunlade, the approach would position exhibitors before the right buyers, distributors and investors, helping businesses turn product visibility into actual sales and commercial partnerships.
The trade fair is expected to provide an accessible platform for emerging businesses to showcase their products, attract customers and expand their market reach. Interested businesses can obtain registration forms through their respective LGAs/LCDAs, while SMEs already registered with the Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives, Trade and Investment are also expected to participate.
