The Lagos State Government has reminded residents that Saturday, July 25, 2026, is the Monthly Environmental Sanitation Day, urging everyone to actively participate in keeping the state clean and healthy.
Residents are encouraged to clean their homes, business premises, and surrounding environments, while ensuring that all waste is properly bagged and disposed of only at approved collection points for timely evacuation. The Government also advises against indiscriminate waste disposal on roads, medians, drainage channels, canals, and other unauthorized locations.
The State Government emphasises that environmental cleanliness is a shared responsibility and remains vital to preventing flooding, protecting public health, and promoting a safer and more sustainable Lagos.
Lagosians are therefore encouraged to make sanitation a daily habit by maintaining clean surroundings and supporting efforts to build a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient city for all.
Together, let us keep Lagos clean. Every resident has a role to play.
