Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has presented land allocation letters to residents of 98 villages in Ito-Omu and surrounding communities, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to securing land ownership and promoting planned urban development.
Announcing the development on his official X account, the governor described the exercise as a significant step towards giving families greater certainty and peace of mind over their properties. He noted that, for many residents, land is more than an asset—it represents identity, heritage and a foundation for future generations.
Sanwo-Olu assured residents that his administration would continue to protect their land rights while advancing orderly and sustainable development across Lagos State. He added that although more work remains to be done, the allocation marks meaningful progress for the affected communities.
The governor also expressed appreciation to the residents for their patience and cooperation, reaffirming his government’s commitment to building a better and more inclusive Lagos.
