The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, through the Lagos State Examinations Board (LSEB), has postponed the 2026 Placement Test from Saturday, July 25, 2026, to Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Registrar of the Board, Adebayo Orunsolu, said the change became necessary because the original examination date coincides with the state’s monthly environmental sanitation exercise, which involves movement restrictions and could disrupt the movement of candidates, parents, guardians and examination officials to designated centres.
He urged parents, guardians, school administrators and candidates to take note of the new date and make the necessary adjustments. Orunsolu also assured stakeholders that adequate preparations have been made to ensure the examination is conducted successfully, transparently and without disruption.
While apologising for any inconvenience caused, the Board thanked stakeholders for their understanding and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, efficiency and excellence in the conduct of public examinations across Lagos State.
