The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has recorded 2,843 public engagements within the first 30 days of launching its 3367 toll-free call centre, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, accountability and citizen-focused service delivery.
According to the Agency, the engagements, recorded between June 28 and July 29, 2026, reflect growing public confidence in LASTMA’s efforts to improve road safety, traffic management and responsiveness to motorists across Lagos State.
A breakdown of the interactions showed 1,047 enquiry calls, 709 commendation calls, 468 successfully resolved cases, 400 reports of accidents and vehicle breakdowns, 163 formal complaints, 11 information requests, and 45 unsuccessful calls resulting from abandoned calls, network interruptions and technical issues.
The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, described the response as a strong endorsement of the Agency’s drive for operational excellence, professionalism and transparent service delivery.
He also revealed that LASTMA has established a Physical Complaint Centre (PCC) at its headquarters in Oshodi, providing residents with a dedicated platform to lodge complaints, make enquiries and report traffic-related issues, including the conduct of LASTMA officials.
Bakare-Oki explained that the Physical Complaint Centre complements the toll-free hotline by offering face-to-face engagement, assuring the public that every complaint will be thoroughly investigated in line with due process and established regulations.
The General Manager reaffirmed the Agency’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption, extortion, misconduct and abuse of office, stressing that any officer found guilty of wrongdoing would face appropriate disciplinary action.
He urged motorists, commuters, transport operators, corporate organisations and other stakeholders to continue using LASTMA’s complaint and feedback channels, noting that active public participation is essential to improving traffic management, enhancing road safety and building a more efficient transportation system across Lagos State.
