The Lagos State Government has announced a temporary traffic diversion at Anthony Village Bus Stop to facilitate ongoing excavation and reconstruction works on a flood-damaged section of the road.
The project, aimed at providing a lasting solution to repeated rain-induced road damage, will involve rebuilding the affected section with interlocking stones for improved durability.
Under the diversion plan, motorists travelling from Fadeyi will not be able to access the Apapa–Oshodi Expressway through Anthony Village. Those heading towards Oshodi via the Anthony Village service lane are advised to remain on the expressway and use the available connecting road ahead. Similarly, motorists coming from Oshodi will not be able to access Anthony–Ikorodu Road through Anthony Village, as there is no through road at the construction site.
The Ministry of Transportation urged motorists to plan their journeys in advance, avoid the Anthony Village Bus Stop and the affected service lane where possible, and use alternative routes to minimise delays while the project is ongoing.
