The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, is set to onboard young graduates into the 2026 Lagos State Graduate Internship Placement Programme (GIPP) as part of efforts to provide them with practical experience, relevant skills and pathways to career advancement.
The on-boarding ceremony, themed “Equipped for Impact, Shaping the Future,” will hold on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at LTV 8, Blue Roof, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.
The GIPP is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and workplace experience by connecting graduates with practical training, professional development opportunities and valuable industry networks. Participants will also gain exposure to opportunities for skill development, career growth, economic empowerment and access to potential employment.
The initiative reflects the Lagos State Government’s commitment to investing in young people and creating sustainable pathways from skills to careers and careers to economic empowerment and wealth creation.
The programme is also expected to strengthen collaboration between graduates, employers and other stakeholders while equipping participants to make meaningful contributions to Lagos’ economy.
The state government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that provide residents with the knowledge, skills and opportunities needed to become productive members of society and contribute to the state’s economic development.
