After 17 years away from production, Okin Biscuits is making a comeback, as the iconic Nigerian brand resumes production at its factory in Offa, Kwara State
The company has successfully restarted one of its rehabilitated production lines, marking the first production activity at the facility in nearly two decades
According to Okin Biscuits, the production line underwent extensive rehabilitation after critical components, including cables, frequency drives, contactors, motors and other electronic parts, were stolen
The company said further testing, calibration and rehabilitation are still ongoing as it works towards restoring the familiar Okin taste and quality
The development marks a significant step in the brand’s efforts to return to the Nigerian market, bringing back a product many Nigerians remember from their childhood
