The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has resolved the operational issues affecting Bolt’s services at airports under its management, ensuring operations resume immediately.
In a statement released by FAAN, an apology was made to passengers for the inconvenience and increased transportation costs experienced during the temporary interruption of Bolt services.
The authority said the resolution followed constructive engagements with Bolt, resulting in an agreed operational framework that addresses safety, and security concerns at the airports.
FAAN explained that it had been working for years to address challenges involving passenger solicitation, touting, random pick ups and unregulated commercial transportation.
It also clarified that its Airport Car Hire Rank Management System (ACHRAMS) was created to improve the management of authorised airport car hire services and was not intended to compete with Bolt, Uber or other e hailing platforms.
FAAN further assured passengers that they remained free to choose from available authorised transportation services and said discussions with other transport operators were ongoing.
