Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has visited the newly established Lagos District Restaurant in Washington DC, where he gave his official recognition and endorsement to the Nigerian-owned establishment.
The Governor, who was in Washington DC on an official visit, commended the initiative, stressing the need for government to support Nigerians who are creating positive impact and promoting the image of the country abroad.
Speaking during the visit, Sanwo-Olu said, “Government should encourage Nigerians who are doing great things to promote the good image of our country abroad.”
He described Lagos District Restaurant as a representation of Lagos and Nigeria in the diaspora, noting its significance to Lagosians and Nigerians living abroad
In recognition of his visit and support, the Lagos District Restaurant inducted Governor Sanwo-Olu into its Wall of Fame, celebrating his contribution to the promotion of Lagos and Nigerian identity on the global stage
