The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has launched a new toll-free short-code hotline, 3367, to improve emergency response, enhance traffic management, and strengthen accountability across Lagos State.
The new hotline replaces the agency’s previous long-service code with a more accessible and user-friendly platform. Available at no cost to subscribers on MTN, Glo, and 9mobile (formerly Etisalat), the service allows residents to quickly report traffic-related emergencies without incurring call charges.
Through the 3367 hotline, members of the public can report incidents such as vehicle breakdowns, road crashes, disabled trucks, stranded tankers, traffic obstructions, and other situations requiring urgent intervention. The platform also enables residents to report the conduct and professionalism of LASTMA officials, reinforcing transparency and accountability within the agency.
To encourage wider public participation, callers can communicate with operators in English, Yoruba, or Pidgin English, ensuring easier access regardless of language.
LASTMA General Manager, Olalekan Bakare-Oki, described the initiative as a major step towards building a safer, smarter, and more responsive traffic management system. He said the hotline reflects the agency’s commitment to leveraging technology to address Lagos’ growing transportation challenges and improve collaboration with road users.
Bakare-Oki assured residents that all reports received through the platform would be handled professionally, confidentially, and promptly by the appropriate operational teams. He urged the public to make full use of the 3367 hotline to support road safety, improve traffic flow, and promote a more efficient transportation system across Lagos State
