Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle, relieving several political appointees of their positions.
The affected officials include all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, as well as the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
In a statement by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mashood AbdulRafiu Agboola, the government said the move is intended to create opportunities for more members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to serve while bringing fresh energy into the administration.
Governor AbdulRazaq thanked the affected appointees for their dedication and contributions to the development of Kwara State and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He also directed all affected officials to immediately hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG)
