The highly anticipated 11th season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) premieres today, Sunday, July 26, 2026, with organisers promising a bigger and more exciting edition of Africa’s biggest reality TV show.
This year’s winner will walk away with a record-breaking grand prize worth ₦160 million, including ₦100 million in cash and a brand-new SUV, making it the biggest prize since the show began in 2006.
The launch show will air from 7:00 p.m. on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family, while the 24-hour live broadcast will be available on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49. Fans can also stream the show live via the DStv Stream and GOtv Stream apps.
Speaking ahead of the premiere, Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa at MultiChoice, said Season 11 will feature higher stakes, fresh twists, and a dynamic mix of housemates, promising viewers captivating entertainment from the opening night to the grand finale.
Preparations for the season began with physical auditions held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu, with participation open to Nigerians aged 21 and above who possessed valid means of identification.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returns as host and is expected to guide viewers through another season filled with strategic gameplay, demanding tasks, unexpected twists and intense housemate interactions.
The new season follows BBNaija Season 10, won by Opeyemi Ayanwale (Imisi), who claimed a ₦150 million prize package after emerging victorious over 28 other contestants.
Eligible DStv and GOtv subscribers will also be able to vote for their favourite housemates through the MyDStv and MyGOtv self-service apps, with additional voting benefits available to customers who upgrade their subscription packages.
