The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Lagos State Command, led by Comptroller Christopher Olu Onajirin, has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a smoother pilgrimage process following a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board.
During the visit, Comptroller Onajirin, who was received by the Board Secretary, Dr. Gbolabo Omoniyi Okudero, said the engagement was aimed at strengthening collaboration ahead of future pilgrimage exercises. He highlighted ongoing reforms by the Comptroller General of the NIS, Mrs. Kemi Nanna Nandap, to make passport and visa services faster, more transparent, and efficient.
The Comptroller also pledged the Command’s support in ensuring intending pilgrims to Israel experience smooth screening processes with reduced waiting times and minimal delays. In response, Dr. Okudero welcomed the initiative and called for sustained collaboration to enhance service delivery for pilgrims. Both parties agreed to deepen their partnership to ensure more seamless pilgrimage exercises in Lagos.
