The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has again declared former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, wanted over an alleged case of receiving stolen property.
As announced by the commission, the members of the public are urged to provide with information on Maina’s whereabouts by contact the EFCC if aware.
Maina, who is a former government official and career civil servant, previously headed the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. He was involved in the Federal Government’s efforts to reform the country’s pension system.
The latest wanted declaration is not the first time Maina has been declared wanted by the EFCC. The commission previously declared him wanted in 2015 in connection with allegations relating to pension fraud and procurement offences. He was also declared wanted in subsequent years after failing to appear before the court in an ongoing criminal case.
