ICAN DELEGATION PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO OFFICE OF THE STATE AUDITOR-GENERAL
The Executive Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Lagos State Public Service Chapter and Ifako-Ijaiye & District Society, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the State Auditor-General, Lagos State.
The delegation was led by Mrs. Suarau Oluwatoyin, FCA, representing the Lagos State Public Service Chapter, and Mr. Olofinsawe Phillips Alaba, FCA, representing the Ifako-Ijaiye & District Society.
The visit was aimed at strengthening professional relationships and fostering greater collaboration between ICAN and the Office of the State Auditor-General in promoting accountability, professionalism and excellence in public sector financial management.
A major highlight of the visit was the decoration of the Acting State Auditor-General, Dr. Olufunke Omolara Tayo-Makanjuola, by the ICAN delegation in recognition of her professional standing and affiliation with the Institute.

Dr. Tayo-Makanjuola appreciated the ICAN delegation for the visit and expressed the Office’s commitment to sustaining a cordial and mutually beneficial relationship with the Institute.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both parties reaffirming the importance of continued professional engagement and collaboration in advancing the standards of public sector accounting and auditing in Lagos State.
