The Chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Fiidi Ward, Makurdi, Benue State, Igbu Terhemen, has reportedly been killed following an alleged attack by unknown assailants.
Terhemen was said to have left his residence on Tuesday evening to watch a local football match in the Kanshio area but failed to return home, raising concerns among his family and friends.
He was reportedly found unconscious in a bush near his residence in the early hours of Wednesday. He was later said to have died before he could receive medical attention.
The NDC condemned the incident and called for a proper investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the alleged attack.
